This snare is special because it's made of 100% North American Maple. The exact same maple used by DW for their Collectors Series drums!
For only a couple years in the mid-2000s, the famous PDP MX, CX, and LX lines were made in Ensenada, Mexico using superior North American maple. (After that, production moved to Asia using cheaper Asian maple)
This snare sounds great! It's in excellent condition and is ready to play.
