ca 1890 Harry Newcorn Buckbee 5 String bank
Typically, Buckbee did not sell banjos at the retail level but instead supplied private labeled instruments to a network of resellers. Harry Newcorn was a noted NYC dealer in the latter 19th century. This banjo is stamped "Harry Newcorn New York City".
This reconditioned Buckbee classic features new Grover friction tuners, new LaBella 17 strings, a bone nut, vintage bridge, a period appropriate tailpiece, and a very old hairy goatskin (which has been repaired).

Note to potential Buyer: This is a vintage / antique musical instrument. If your experience has been limited to modern era instruments, you may notice a difference in certain characteristics by comparison. Also, as this instrument is 100+ years old, you may notice slight imperfections that have been well earned during its journey through the years.
