The Fiio FT7 is an open-back planar magnetic headphone built around a 106mm proprietary driver with an ultra-thin 1μm PET diaphragm and a multi-layer 24K gold and pure silver coating. A dual-sided push-pull magnetic circuit uses 18 N52 neodymium magnets for a uniform magnetic field, and the frequency response extends from 5Hz to 40kHz. At 25Ω impedance and 94 dB/mW sensitivity, it is easy to drive from a wide range of sources. The carbon fibre and zebrawood construction keeps weight to roughly 427g (excluding cable), and it ships with lambskin and breathable fabric ear pads plus a roughly 3m monocrystalline copper cable terminated in a 4.4mm balanced plug, with 4.4mm to 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm to 6.35mm adapters included.
