Elysia Xpressor NEO 500 Series Class A Stereo Compressor MINT

Condition: Mint

Description: Up for sale is my Elysia Xpressor NEO 500 Series Stereo Compressor (Serial No. 0152). The module is in absolute mint, like-new condition with zero rack rash, scratches, or details of any kind. It has been meticulously cared for in a professional, smoke-free studio environment.

This is the updated "NEO" version of the legendary Xpressor, offering an entirely redesigned circuit that delivers a wider 3D stereo image, improved high-end detail, and incredible depth. It brings mastering-grade compression right to your 500 series lunchbox.

Key Features:

• Discrete Class-A Topology: The audio path runs in constant class-A mode, providing superior audio quality that is clear, open, and incredibly punchy.PDF
• 500 Series Format: Occupies two slots in any standard API 500 series compatible rack, with a current consumption of 125 mA at +/- 16 volts DC.
• Warm Mode: A switchable slew rate limiter that slows down fast transients, altering the frequency spectrum and harmonics for a fatter, more saturated, and rounded sound.
• Auto Fast Attack: When engaged, the attack time is automatically shortened on fast and loud signal impulses, quickly returning to your set value to catch peaks without distortion.
• Logarithmic Release: Offers a switchable logarithmic release curve (in addition to standard linear) that naturally shortens the release time as gain reduction increases—perfect for smooth stereo buss compression.
• Negative Ratios: The compression curve bends and returns back down after crossing the threshold, allowing for extreme, groovy pumping effects.
• Gain Reduction Limiter (GRL): Placed in the control circuit rather than the audio path, this restricts the maximum amount of gain reduction to your specific setting, preserving the dynamics of the loudest parts of your track.
• Onboard Parallel Compression: The built-in Mix knob lets you easily blend your dry and compressed signals without any complex external routing.
