Up for sale is a 1974 Marshall Master PA 100, Model 2003, in excellent working condition with plenty of honest vintage character.
These six-channel, 100-watt Marshall PA heads are an interesting piece of Marshall history. Built during the golden era of British valve amplification, they feature four EL34 output tubes, substantial vintage Marshall iron, and classic 1970s components.
This example retains all three original transformers, original mustard capacitors, original Marshall-branded preamp tubes, and its original PA circuit configuration. The electrolytic capacitors were replaced prior to my ownership, and it has a brand-new matched quad of EL34 output tubes.
The amplifier is fully functional and sounds great.
One of the interesting things about these old Marshall PA heads is their potential as guitar amplifiers. They provide an excellent platform for anyone interested in vintage Marshall circuitry, whether used in their original configuration or modified into a custom guitar amplifier.
Many vintage Marshall PA heads have been converted, modified, or parted out over the decades, making complete, largely unmodified survivors like this one increasingly interesting.
Cosmetically, it shows plenty of honest wear, scuffs, and patina from more than 50 years of existence. Please examine the photographs carefully. I have intentionally left the original cosmetics alone.
