This Ampeg is an absolute beast of a bass amp, serving up to 1000 watts of pure power for your bass rig! I’ve used this head for both guitar and bass, and it gets the job done for both very well, but obviously bass is its forte. Ampeg nailed it with this amp, offering up their signature sound, from the deep bass to the brilliant highs, at a fraction of the price of their signature SVTs.
This amp has served me well through the years, and has also taken a spill while out on the road with me. At one point it fell during a show and took some cosmetic damage from it, most notably being the rack ear on the right side of the amp being bent. However, this also took a few of the faders on the graphic EQ section of the amp with it. Lastly to note, only one of the speaker outputs functions now as well. This piece has definitely seen better days, but still has life left in it! Great candidate for anyone looking for a good deal on a powerful bass head that might not need to utilize all the features these normally offer.
