CONDITION DESCRIPTION

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Amp head has been used heavily. Sporadic scratches throughout silver/chrome/reflective outer casing. Amp functions phenomenally. Amp is in good condition overall. Cosmetically it leaves something to be desired, but the amount of deep damage is minimal.

Very good condition for being 20 years old and such a scratchable surface!

THIS AMPLIFIER IS LISTED FOR LOCAL PICKUP. IF YOU WISH FOR IT TO BE SHIPPED, WE WILL PACKAGE IT AND CALCULATE EXACT SHIPPING. 100% OF SHIPPING COSTS WILL BE ON THE BUYER

Turning the model knob on the amp selects each model (indicated by an amber/yellow light, or a red light for a variation/channel within a similar genre)

Vintage Amp Models (8 Models)

1. Jazz Clean

  • Based on: Roland JC-120 (Jazz Chorus) solid-state combo.
  • Tone Character: Crystal-clear, shimmering, and ultra-transparent clean tones with a wide stereo spread.

2. Class A-30 TB (Top Boost)

  • Based on: 1967 Vox AC-30 Top Boost.
  • Tone Character: Chimey, articulate British upper-midrange bite that breaks up smoothly when pushed.

3. Blackface Lux

  • Based on: 1964 Fender Deluxe Reverb.
  • Tone Character: Warm, glassy American cleans with a smooth tube spring-reverb-style response and sweet edge-of-breakup.

4. Blackface Lux (Alt)

  • Based on: 1961 Fender Tweed Champ.
  • Tone Character: Small, snappy, vintage tweed growl that gets dirty and responsive quickly when you dig into the strings.

5. Double Verb

  • Based on: 1965 Fender Twin Reverb.

6. Tweed B-man

7. British/Plexi Variants (Marshall-inspired vintage cluster)

  • Based on: Classic vintage Marshall circuits (such as JTM-45 and Plexi/JCM-style lineages).
  • Tone Character: Ranging from warm vintage plexi-style crunch to aggressive mid-focused rock rhythm grit.

8. High-Gain/Boutique Vintage Foundations (e.g., Early Soldano/High-gain class legacy models)

  • Based on: Coveted late-century vintage high-gain iron (like early SLO-style or hot-rodded classics).
  • Tone Character: Fluid, singing lead sustain and heavier vintage saturation without modern razor-sharp digital fizz.

The 10 Modern Amp Models & Tones

The HD147 structures its model selector using Amber (yellow) and Red light indicators on the amp knob to toggle between paired or genre-specific modern and high-gain architectures:

    • Amber: Treadplate (Based on the Channel 3 "Modern" setting of a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Solo Head).
    • Red: Criminal (Based on the Peavey 5150 MkII / high-gain metal architecture).
  • Bomber Uber / Diezel/Bogner High Gain
    • Amber: Bomber Uber (Based on the Bogner Überschall, known for aggressive, saturated high-gain crunch).
    • Red: Deity / Diezel (Based on modern boutique high-gain multi-channel heads like the Peter Diezel VH4 / Herbert family).
  • Line 6 Insane / Aggressive Originals
    • Amber: Line 6 Insane (Line 6’s proprietary max-gain wall-of-sound distortion).
    • Red: Line 6 Purge / Smash / Agro variants (High-intensity modern custom distortion models designed for dropped tunings and tight articulation).
