TAMA built this Star Reserve snare around a hybrid shell of bubinga for density and attack and walnut for warmth and body. It then added a pair of maple Sound Focus Rings inside to tighten the shell's response and emphasize the drum’s fundamental tone. The resultant snare drum boasts ample cut and projection for high-energy genres while still retaining a musical voice that also shines in low-volume settings. Additionally, Star tube Lugs hold your preferred tuning steadfast, and the Linear-Drive strainer provides exceptionally smooth snare on/off action. Finished with a claro walnut outer ply lacquered in a black see-through gloss, this handbuilt TAMA snare combines exceptional sound with quiet elegance befitting any concert stage or studio booth.
