A well‑regarded choice for advancing students and serious adult players, the Renard Artist Model 240 is Fox’s short‑bore professional‑grade instrument known for its flexibility and bold, resonant tone. Crafted from red maple with a mahogany finish and equipped with silver‑plated keywork, posts, bands, and boot cap, this 240 features the full German key system including high E and high D.
This instrument was purchased new in 2007 and played for approximately ten years in lessons, chamber groups, and small orchestras before being stored carefully. It has just been professionally cleaned and serviced and is in very good playing condition: normal cosmetic wear consistent with age, no cracks, no structural repairs, and fully functional keywork. The serial number is 45584.
