This thing is very heavy which is part of the surge protection aspect - sorry about the shipping cost - but these sell for almost $400 new, it's still a great deal

It stabilizes fluctuating voltage (89V–147V) to a clean 120V nominal output, features 6 protected AC outlets, 1440 joules of surge suppression, and built-in EMI/RFI noise filtering.
