Anyone can play Wanted Dead or Alive. You've heard it at every open mic and every campfire for 35 years. But there's a reason Richie walked out with a double neck Ovation to play it, and you don't understand that reason until you're holding one.
That opening riff on the 12-string side is a different song than the one you've been playing on your six. It's huge. It shimmers and rings out the way it does on the record, and when you swing down to the 6-string neck for the lead it feels like the guitar was built around that exact moment. Because it basically was.
This is the Richie Sambora signature double neck, and it's in fantastic condition. Both necks play great, the electronics are working, and it sounds full and loud plugged in or not. It has been taken care of and it shows.
Full disclosure on the one flaw: there's a cosmetic finish crack on the neck from a liquor spill. It's purely visual. You can't feel it when you play, it doesn't affect the neck, the tuning, or the playability in any way. I've included close-up photos so you can see exactly what it looks like. Honestly, on a Sambora guitar, a little whiskey history feels about right.
These don't come up often, and when they do, they rarely look this good. If you've wanted the guitar that defined a generation of hair metal acoustic moments, this is it. You can play Wanted Dead or Alive on anything. It only comes alive on this.
