This 2023 D-28 still has the forward shifted straight braces, still different from the HD-28's scalloped braces (which the D-28 received in the 2025 refresh). I bought this one new about one year ago in order to get the straight-braced version. Beautiful Sitka top and Rosewood back and sides. Sounds great now; nice defined bass and loud trebles. I've found that I just play my Jumbos more (and they fit me better as I get older).
Guitar has never been played out; I've never even put in the strap end pin. I would describe the guitar as mint, and the case as excellent (it has a couple white scuffs around the top edge from rubbing against other cases in my home; see last pic). All paperwork included.
