What we have here is truly a wonderful pair of vintage JBL 4320 S/8 Variant speakers that comes along with a story from back in the day. I purchased these about 25 years ago from a gentleman by the name of John Arrias. Google him. He is a famous recording engineer that has worked with the best of the best. These were originally built into the walls of MGM Studios in LA. Back then monitors were built into the walls for better bass response. At some point John purchased them and had the cabinets redone as JBL back then painted most of there studio monitors grey. Who ever did the cabinets did a magnificent job. They are gorgeous. The components are all the blue colored ones which are dated to around the late 60s. JBL LE 15A 15"Alnico Cone 16 ohm woofers one being S/N 3390 and the other S/N 2878. I just had the surrounds done so they are fresh. The crossover network is LX5 S/N 6087 and S/N 6715.  Midhorn is an LE85. Look up some of the old pictures from Cherokee Studios and you will see these in the studio. One of the crossovers attaches from the inside and the other from the outside. Early models attached from the inside. I was told by some JBL Guru's that it was common to find different components in monitors as design changes were being made and they were using up what was in stock. I really don't want to part with these but they are helping to fund a pair of Hartsfields I purchased recently. I will ship but it's all on you to arrange pickup. Try U-Ship. Can be picked up and auditioned in Dennis Port MA. Thanks for looking.
