Stunning 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio in Vintage Sunburst

This is an exceptionally clean 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio in Vintage Sunburst, and easily one of the best-looking Les Pauls I’ve owned.

I am the original owner of this guitar. I purchased it new in 2013 and have been the only owner since it left the factory. It has seen very little actual playtime over the years and has spent the overwhelming majority of its life stored safely in a gig bag or case, which is a major reason it remains in such remarkably clean condition today.

The guitar has a gorgeous, naturally grained maple top under the warm Vintage Sunburst finish, and the combination of the finish, cream plastics, chrome hardware and installed Bigsby B7 gives it an absolutely killer old-school vibe. It has the look and attitude of a much older Les Paul without the wear, fragility or price tag that often comes with a genuinely vintage example.

And this one absolutely rips.

The factory 490R neck / 498T bridge humbucker combination gives it the thick, powerful Les Paul sound you would expect, with plenty of output and authority for classic rock, hard rock and heavier styles, while still cleaning up beautifully for blues, cleaner tones and more traditional Gibson territory. The factory push-pull coil taps add even more versatility when you want something leaner or more articulate.

This is one of those guitars that looks elegant and vintage-inspired but can become extremely aggressive the second you turn the gain up.

Condition

I am conservatively listing the guitar as Excellent rather than Mint.

I have gone over it carefully and cannot find any significant scratches, dents, chips, buckle rash or other noteworthy cosmetic damage. It presents close to mint for a guitar of this age.

That said, it is a pre-owned instrument and is now more than a decade old, so there may be a minor handling mark or minute surface imperfection somewhere that I have not noticed under close inspection. I have tried to photograph the guitar as extensively and honestly as possible, and the photos should be considered part of the condition description.

Mechanically and electronically, everything functions exactly as it should.

Bigsby B7 / Vibramate No-Drill Setup

The guitar is currently equipped with a genuine Bigsby B7 vibrato installed using the correct Vibramate V7-LP Les Paul mounting system.

This is an important distinction:

No drilling was required, and the guitar has not been permanently modified.

The Vibramate system utilizes the existing factory mounting points, so the Bigsby installation is completely reversible.

The original Gibson stopbar/tailpiece hardware is included, allowing the next owner to return the guitar to its original factory stop-tail configuration if desired.

Upgraded Gibson Premium Soft Case

This model originally shipped new in a very basic Gibson nylon factory gig bag with minimal padding/protection.

Rather than include that entry-level bag, this guitar will ship in and include the much nicer upgraded Gibson Premium brown soft case shown in the photos.

This is a substantial upgrade over the basic factory gig bag, offering considerably better padding, structure and overall protection while also presenting as a much more premium Gibson-branded package.

Also included is a brand-new unopened set of D’Addario NYXL .010 electric guitar strings.

Overall

This is a particularly striking example of the early-2010s Les Paul Studio.

It has the sound and feel people buy a Les Paul for — big, muscular humbucker tones, excellent sustain and plenty of output — but the Bigsby, Vintage Sunburst finish and attractive maple grain give it an entirely different personality from the typical Studio.

It looks like a guitar with decades of vibe while remaining exceptionally clean.

As the original owner since new, I know exactly how this guitar has been treated, and its exceptionally light use and careful storage are reflected in the condition today.

With the reversible Bigsby installation, original Gibson hardware, original factory documentation, upgraded Gibson Premium soft case, Vibramate accessories and fresh NYXL strings, this is an unusually complete and thoughtfully assembled package.
