------------------------------
Since its founding in 1916 by Samuel K. Kamaka, Kamaka Ukuleles has reigned as a top brand of Hawaiian ukulele makers. True to the founder's words, "If you make instruments and use the family name, don't make junk," the company has continued to produce an unchanging sound through the skills and spirit of craftsmen cultivated within Hawaiian culture, and through rigorous quality control. Even after more than 100 years, this tradition remains undiminished and loved by many players. This particular instrument is a standard tenor-size model, the "HF-3," a used 2008 model. It features a figured Hawaiian koa body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Schaller pearloid gear tuners, a 14-fret joint (18-fret end), and a gloss finish. Kamaka ukuleles are known for their sweet, full, and warm tone. This tenor-sized ukulele boasts a warm, dynamic, and full-bodied tone with plenty of volume. Its stable sound makes it suitable for solo ukulele playing and a wide range of styles. Equipped with a K&K Big Island Spot pickup, it's ready for live performances and recordings. There are several linear scratches on the treble side. Aside from this, the overall condition is good, with only minor, faint scratches. The wood grain is also beautiful, making it a great choice for upgrading your existing instrument or for those unsure about their first tenor ukulele. A general-purpose hard case is included.
