Martin Style 2 Ukulele 1928
I did some repairs on this uke. I put a cleat in it on the crack. I couldn't get a good picture of it, but I tried. I made a bit of a mess smearing the glue around. I had to re-apply it a couple times. I used magnets to clamp it. I would use a stick to prop it against the wood if I did it again. I would also glue the crack at the same time as putting on the cleat, then clamp from the outside with cauls. Oh well, it was glued a long time ago and cleated recently. I also put a thin mahogany shim in the C string slot. It was a bit blown out. That repair worked great. The C string catches much better now. I also lowered the action 2.25 at 12, 0.50 at 1, and polished the frets. The line next to the crack is just a scratch. The ukulele has initials scratched into the side of it. It has some case wear scratches on the side and headstock, as well as a few scratches and dings elsewhere. The top and sides have no cracks. The tuners have been changed out to Gotoh UPTs which is good if you want to play it. The old tuners are included and can be re-installed by a luthier if you would want that, but they don't work well. Also includes the gator case pictured.
This uke takes a low G as well as a high g. I'll include a low G string with the sale in case you want it that way. It sounds really good both ways.
I will accept a timely return if you are displeased with it upon receipt.
