Yamaha Maple Custom Snare Drum – 5.5" x 14" – Vintage Oil (Natural) – Made in Japan

Offered here is a beautiful Yamaha Maple Custom 5.5" x 14" snare drum in the elegant Vintage Oil (Natural) finish. Made in Japan during the era of Yamaha's original Maple Custom (pre-Absolute) series, this drum exemplifies the exceptional craftsmanship and tonal character for which these instruments are renowned.

Featuring a North American maple shell, the drum offers the warmth, resonance, sensitivity, and articulation associated with the original Maple Custom series. Its versatile 5.5" depth provides an excellent balance of body, projection, and responsiveness.

The Vintage Oil finish beautifully showcases the natural maple grain, complemented by the distinctive second-generation Maple Custom lugs, which are exceptionally clean and present beautifully.

Condition

Excellent. This drum was acquired from its original owner, who purchased it new but reportedly never played it.

The shell, finish, and hardware are in outstanding overall condition, with the second-generation lugs particularly well-preserved. The drum presents beautifully throughout.

Please review the photographs carefully for its cosmetic condition. Additional detailed photographs are gladly provided upon request.
