Offered here is a beautiful Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple drum kit in Red Autumn lacquer finish, featuring the full PHX gold hardware package, including gold die-cast hoops, hook lugs, bass drum claws, and other shell hardware. These components are exceptionally rare and extremely expensive to source, making this quite possibly a one-of-one kit.

The combination of the deep Red Autumn lacquer finish and gold hardware is stunning in person and really sets this kit apart from a standard Absolute Hybrid Maple setup.

Shell Construction & Specifications

• Shell Material: 7-ply hybrid Maple/Wenge/Maple construction, featuring a dense African Wenge centre ply sandwiched between North American Maple plies.
• Shell Thickness: 6.1mm tom shells and 7.7mm bass drum shell.
• Bearing Edges: 45-degree/R1.5 on the toms and 30-degree/R1.5 on the bass drum, designed to provide a balanced tom response with a deeper, fuller bass drum sound.
• Hoops: 3.0mm Yamaha aluminum die-cast hoops in rare PHX gold finish.
• Lugs: Yamaha Absolute hook lugs with internal lug-locking mechanism, finished in PHX gold.
• Tom Mounts: Yamaha Y.E.S.S. III mounting system, designed to minimize shell contact and allow maximum resonance and sustain.
• Shell Interiors: Yamaha Vintage Natural interior finish.
• Exterior Finish: Red Autumn high-gloss lacquer.

The hybrid Maple/Wenge shell construction is one of the defining features of the Absolute Hybrid Maple series. The dense Wenge centre ply adds focus and projection, while the surrounding Maple provides warmth, resonance, and a wide dynamic range. These are incredibly versatile drums that sound excellent across a variety of musical styles.

The drums are in excellent overall condition and have been very well cared for. All four toms have brand-new, unplayed clear Yamaha drumheads on both the batter and resonant sides. The lacquer finish and gold hardware present beautifully with only a few minor blemishes.

This particular kit was used by renowned drummer Larnell Lewis for a drum clinic where he signed the inside of the bass drum, as shown in the photos. The signature is fairly small and unobtrusive, and is a nice bit of history to go along with the kit.
