Vintage JBL L45 Flair Speakers

This is an exceptionally rare, collector quality pair of JBL C45/L45 Flair 3-way floorstanding speakers. Unlike most vintage JBLs on the market, this set is 100% original, unrestored, and completely untouched. They are not rebuilt, re-foamed with aftermarket kits, or refinished. Every driver, foam surround, cone, crossover component, and cabinet panel remains exactly as it left the JBL plant.

THE ULTIMATE "UPGRADED L100" HERITAGE

The L45 Flair (specifically in this L45S1 system package) was engineered by JBL to build upon the massive success of the legendary L100 Century. JBL designed the L45 to deliver a noticeably bigger, deeper, and more authoritative soundstage.

To accomplish this, JBL utilized the exact same celebrated transducer array from the L100 for the mid and high frequencies—the LE5-2 midrange and LE25 high-frequency driver—and paired them with a significantly larger cabinet enclosure and stepped up the low-frequency driver from the L100's 12-inch woofer to a massive 15-inch LE15A / 136A white-cone woofer.

Reflecting this significant step up in cabinet volume, component quality, and engineering, the L45 Flair commanded a retail price 56% higher than the L100 during their simultaneous production run. The result is the classic, dynamic JBL L100 presentation with vastly extended bass response, superior scale, and true flagship authority in original condition.
