Maxiflex strings carry the same 24-carat gold coating and German craftsmanship as Optima's classic Gold Strings, but are tuned to be much more flexible. Bends come easier, chords feel softer, and the tone keeps the bright, clear "sound of gold" that Optima is known for.
The gold is insensitive to tarnish and corrosion, so a set lasts up to three times longer than ordinary strings, according to Optima. It is also a safe choice for players with a nickel allergy. Every set is developed and handmade in Germany.
