Used extensively for many years by John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and comes with a letter of authenticity from McEuen. The instrument was originally a tenor-necked one-piece flange TB-Granada Mastertone, but the resonator has been lost and the outer radius of the flange has been ground off to create an open-back configuration, original rim with 40-hole raised-head tone ring, and gold-plated metal hardware, high-quality five-string conversion neck by an unknown maker, Calton flight case
