Airis Effects ORB Power Amp Emulation Pedal

This listing is for the ORB Power Amp Simulation pedal. The Orb doesn’t actually pass power to drive  a speaker but rather adds the controls and color of a power amp. One use case for this for example is using a preamp   like the Airis 51 Filthy High Gain Preamp pedal  or any other preamp into IR’s or Cab emulation. In addition to the traditional Depth /Resonance and Presence controls there is also  a midrange control to help fine tune that mid range cut or cut some muddy low end from a particular IR. Volume: This is the most obvious. It makes whatever you plug into it louder.

Presence:  This is the same in function to what you would find on any amplifier, but with a handful of differences. Rather than altering the negative feedback loop, this Presence control is a combination of a passive treble bleed and an active eq. 

Resonance: This is also known as Depth depending on what part of the world you live in. It is essentially a low end control for dialing in the thickness/"meat" of your tone. We fine tuned it to help capture some of the "feel" of a thumping 4x12 cab at low volumes. Crank it up and hear how massive your tone gets!

Mids -/+: This is what sets our power amp apart from others. Never again do you have to settle for whatever midrange frequencies are most present in the power amp you've plugged into. Turning this control to Noon will essentially bypass the effect. To the left will cut whatever frequency the Shape control is set to. To the right boosts it. High mids will give you additional presence when boosted. Low mids being cut will clear up any honk/cardboard tone.

Shape: This is the sweep of the range on the Mids -/+ control. Frequency ranges are detailed in the Bull/Beaver Switch section.

Bull/Beaver: This two position toggle switch selects between two independent frequency ranges. Beaver Mode sets the Shape control to a range of 400-800hz. Bull Mode sets the Shape control to a range of 1500-2500hz.

The ORB is designed to be run at 9volts ONLY! Any higher voltage will damage it.
