[Features]
Founded in 1927 and rooted in Boston, Verne Q. Powell Flutes is a leading American flute maker built on innovation and craftsmanship. The Signature, introduced in 2003, is a handmade model still produced in the USA. The headjoint, body, and key mechanism are all sterling silver, and it has a hand-cut Signature headjoint made by the same headjoint makers as the Custom model.
This example has solid silver, inline ring keys, and a B footjoint, a goal specification for many flute enthusiasts. Drawn tone holes and a traditional pinned mechanism give a light action, with Powell's elegant tone plus the depth and solid presence of solid silver.
With price increases in recent years, Powell flutes other than the Sonare have become harder to reach. The Signature, once a popular entry to handmade Powells, has been dropped from the Japanese domestic lineup, making this used example a chance for those who always hoped to own a Powell someday. Made in USA.
Warranty: 1 year from purchase (free adjustment/inspection not involving parts replacement). Adjustments are performed in partnership with a specialist flute technician.
