Selling a very cool, vintage Torodor 4-piece drum kit featuring a beautiful and unusual blue swirl / blue agate / marine pearl-style wrap. The finish really stands out and has that classic vintage Made-in-Japan (MIJ) drum look.

Includes a 12” rack tom, 13” rack tom, 16” floor tom, and a 20“ Bass drum.

The drums are used and show signs of use including scratches, marks, rubs, scrapes, pitting, rust, and other imperfections. For example, the 16” floor tom is missing the Torodor badge (there is some glue residue where it once was) and the floor tom could use a better resonant-side hoop/rim. The bearing edges are not the best but I believe the drums sound great - I can share a link to the video if you send me a message (I lost the video on my phone but still have it in my Facebook marketplace post).

The kit has been cleaned up and presents really well for its age (1960s). The drum heads have lots of life left on them! There is normal cosmetic wear consistent with a vintage drum set, but the blue pearl wrap is the star of this kit and looks fantastic under lights.

Torodor drums were part of the wave of Japanese-made vintage drums from the 1960s/70s, and kits in interesting original wraps like this are getting harder to find.

Great kit for a vintage drum collector, retro recording setup, gigging drummer, or someone who simply wants a drum set that doesn’t look like every other solid-wrapped kits that are built these days.

Rare finish and a ton of vintage character (a much less commonly seen finish than the typical red or blue sparkle found on vintage MIJ kits).
