Vintage Buescher True-Tone Low Pitch Alto Saxophone, manufactured by The Buescher Band Instrument Company, Elkhart, Indiana, USA.
This early Buescher saxophone features a silver-plated finish, detailed period bell engraving, mother-of-pearl key touches, and classic early Buescher construction.
Markings include:
- The Buescher – Elkhart, Ind.
- True-Tone
- Low Pitch
- Serial Number 18914
- LICENSE PAT. DEC. 8, 1914
Please note that the December 8, 1914 marking refers to a patent/license date and is not necessarily the manufacturing date of the instrument.
The saxophone remains in vintage, unrestored condition with substantial natural tarnish and patina, along with scratches, finish/plating wear, marks and other signs of age and use. It has not been polished, preserving its aged appearance.
The instrument has not been professionally serviced or fully play-tested. Due to its age, it should be assumed that it may require cleaning, adjustment, pads and/or additional servicing before regular playing.
Includes the vintage hard case and accessories shown in the photos.
SOLD AS-IS. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description and show the exact condition and contents included.
