The Cabinet Upright Grand design features an extended string length and large soundboard area, yielding a remarkably full-bodied tone with booming bass clarity and bright, singing trebles. Many models from this era were equipped with what the company marketed as a “French Repeating Action,” a refined mechanism intended to offer smoother, more responsive key repetition.

This Price and Temple cabinet upright grand has had a complete frame restoration in its recent history. Plate was removed, stripped repainted, Pin block was replaced, new tuning pens, new strings, all hammers were replaced, action was totally restored, cabinet was stripped to wood and refinished. This masterful restoration was completed by countryside piano service with Fern Henry and Bill Spurlock principals. The piano has an enormous tone easily surpassing many 5 foot grand pianos. This cabinet is solid quarter zone quarter sawn tiger oak. This is your opportunity to own a unique piece of American history. 

Since the founding of the form in 1902 Price and Teeple has built incredible high quality pianos, grand pianos, and player pianos. Even gaining national recognition for their beautiful instruments. In 1937 after surviving the Great Depression they were acquired by Story & Clark who continued building under the Price and Teeple Brand name until 1965.
