Billotti Trinome

For sale is the pictured Billotti Trinome. Will consider reasonable offers.

These are extremely rare, especially one in as good a condition as this one, complete with the owner's manual. It works fine, and although there are light surface, scratches from age and one, visible, scratch on the front as shown in the picture, the unit is an excellent shape. The owners manual has been folded, but doesn't have any tears and only two stains as shown in the picture. This is a very cool piece, and here's what AI has to say about it:

RARE VINTAGE BILLOTTI TRINOME – EXCELLENT CONDITION – ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL

For sale is a vintage Billotti Trinome, an unusual and historically interesting piece of musical equipment from the 1960s.

The Trinome is much more than a conventional metronome. It was designed to allow musicians to practice complex polyrhythms, producing three separate rhythmic patterns simultaneously using three distinct sounds: Bell, Tick and Tock.

This makes it particularly interesting to drummers, percussionists, jazz musicians, classical musicians, composers, collectors of vintage musical equipment, and anyone interested in the history of rhythm and percussion technology.

FEATURES

• Three separate rhythmic voices: Bell, Tick and Tock
• Designed for practicing polyrhythms and complex rhythmic patterns
• Adjustable rhythmic relationships between the three voices
• Unusual vintage mechanical/electronic musical instrument
• 1960s-era musical equipment
• Rare and increasingly difficult to find
• Fascinating addition to a vintage percussion or musical-instrument collection

CONDITION

This Trinome is in excellent overall condition for its age.

There is one significant surface scratch on the front, which is clearly visible and should be considered when evaluating the cosmetic condition. Other than that, the unit presents very well.

The original owner's manual is included and is also in good condition. The manual has a couple of small stains on the front page, but is otherwise well preserved.

I have photographed the Trinome and owner's manual carefully so that the buyer can see exactly what is included and evaluate the condition for themselves.

A very unusual piece of vintage musical history that you simply don't encounter very often.

Although the unit has been tested and operates as it should, it is 60 years old, so I can't offer any kind of warranty, so it is sold as-is.

INCLUDES:
• Billotti Trinome
• Original owner's manual
