Vintage Audio-Technica AT811 cardioid electret condenser microphone from 1978, made in Japan. A very cool early Audio-Technica microphone with classic all-metal construction and a distinctive late-1970s design.

Tested and working properly. I tested the microphone through its XLR connection and it sounds great — clear, crisp and detailed with strong output.

The AT811 requires one AA battery for operation. Battery is not included.

Cosmetically, this example definitely shows its age and use. The metal body has noticeable finish wear, scuffs, scratches, marks and areas of discoloration throughout. There is also wear around the switch and lower body. The grille has some normal age/use wear but remains in good overall shape. Nothing has been polished or refinished, and the cosmetic wear gives it an honest vintage appearance. Please review all photos closely for exact condition.

Includes an Audio-Technica fitted hard storage case and Audio-Technica storage pouch. Please note that the case is labeled AT801 rather than AT811. The AT801 was another microphone from the same Audio-Technica series and the AT811 fits the molded case extremely well, but I cannot confirm that this particular case was originally sold with this microphone.
