Pollard Industries – Syndrum Dual-Function Foot Pedal / Controller
We received this pedal as part of the estate of Syndrome inventor and founder, Joe Pollard. Joe was part of the group of top LA session musicians known as "The Wrecking Crew". He invented many musical innovations, the most famous being the first full production electronic drums; Syndrums.
This pedal incorporates two separate foot controls on a single metal base. The large rocker/treadle manipulates the Syndrum's pitch for the dramatic electronic pitch bends and "swoops" that became characteristic of the instrument, while the smaller pedal provided an immediate sound cut-off.
