If you’ve always wanted to own a brand new Akai MPC 5000 when it was released, now is your only opportunity. You most likely won’t ever see another one In this condition

This is a brand-new Akai MPC 5000 bought directly from Japan. Because it has never been used, all the buttons, pads, and knobs still have the absolute brand-new, tight resistance that you would expect on a fresh machine right out of the box. It has stayed covered on my studio desk since day one (total of 3 month) with no blemishes or scratches anywhere. It was only turned on once to verify functionality, and I upgraded the RAM when I first received it.

When this unit was created by Japanese-outsourced engineers in Japan, even though Akai was transitioning to a new owner at the time under Numark which later became InMusic Brands, it was considered a flagship model. So, in reality this is the very last Japanese engineered by some last remaining Japanese engineers from the old Akai Electric Company Ltd.(team). A lot of people don’t know that it was the last one ..Numark, we’re still transitioning to the new team, but they had a few remaining top level Japanese engine, engineers that they use for outsourcing until the final transition was complete. On record most people think the 4000 was the last one.. not entirely true. So, it’s a flagship & It deserves to be treated as such for serious users. PS., it will be covered back up with the dust cover. I don’t leave anything I’m covered if I’m not using it I just took the cover off the photograph it so it stays pristine looking…:)

Because I am not an authorized dealer, I have listed it in excellent condition. I am selling simply because I have too many samplers to give this unit any time.

If it does not sell for my asking price, I will box it up and store it, as I am in no hurry to sell. Check my ratings and buy with confidence.

Don’t fall asleep on it, if really want it, because if you do, you’ll wake up tomorrow and it’ll be sold:(: that happened to me on a 3000 recently I was trying to buy..waited too late to pull the trigger..and the next day it was sold. Damn:( that was hard for me to get over …as I could've, would’ve & should’ve but didn’t:(
