I have a 2025 Gibson Les Paul Studio here with its deluxe soft case and paperwork. This one is nice and light, weighing 7 lb 10 oz.
This guitar is in VG condition with some typical player wear that I will describe for you.
The body top shows some typical guitar pick strumming on the plastic pickguard. Any similar superficial swirling will be less so on the body wood itself. There will be scattered traces of it, but no accumulated patterns or sheen. Above the neck pickup, there is a little surface stuff, not a deep scratch, more so just the outer surface of the lacquer has a little scuffing mark, a vertical one about an inch long and a millimeter wide. There are no noteworthy marks on the body top.
The body sides/edges on the lower body show a small patch of worming about a square inch in size. That is patterned playwear that does not break the finish, more so it leaves shallow, faint line shaped indentations. Beyond that small patch of playwear, I did not find anything else noteworthy along the body edges. I see just faint traces of playwear.
The body back shows about 2 inches squared of light surface scratching in the central body back area. Again, not deep. Very light scratches consistent with what you would see with aggressive guitar pick strumming. Beyond that, there is a smaller amount of scattered superficial signs of use, but no heavy clusters or any noteworthy playwear.
The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing of note to report. I just see faint superficial traces of use only. The headstock looks nice. I found just one small mark there. There is a little light spot on the edge of the face of the headstock, about a millimeter in size. Not a chip, just a little light spot on the black finish. That's the guitar equivalent of a bruise. The frets are tall and full, showing no fretwear, which is an important consideration on a used guitar. And the setup plays fantastic. It has a nice, easy to play action and plays like butter. The original electronics are working as they should, and both the bridge and the neck pickup are individually coil tapped.
Lastly, and perhaps temporarily, there is a bit of a smell of dogs on this guitar. If you've lived with pets, you know that smell. I smell it more so on the outside of the case than on the guitar, but it is noticeable if you have a sharp nose. From my experience with guitars like this, that will eventually fade. And it is out of that environment now.
This guitar rates at 8.5/10 and grades as very good. I'm putting it in the middle of very good. It has some surface playwear as noted, but nothing major. The neck I would rate as excellent. The guitar is a 2025 model, so it definitely still has that lustrous, glowing look and attractive appearance that recently made guitars have. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays great.
Gibson has made so many guitar models that it can be confusing to dial into what is the best one for you. Even determining what is the best Les Paul. This one makes it real simple. At this price point this is an excellent all around Les Paul with all the tonal traits you want in an LP. I feel it's a big step above the cheaper special, Tribute and LPJ and other budget models. It is just below a Standard. Sorta a no frills version of a Standard. It has the familiar big spacious sound that a Les Paul is known for. Warm from the wood. And also has coil tap function.
Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
