Vintage Alvarez was handmade by Japanese luthiers back in 1974. The neck is straight, action is good, frets still have plenty of life, and there is no major structural or cosmetic damage with the guitar.
The guitar could use a new saddle, as the high E string can slip out, especially during bends or heavy strumming
Cosmetically the only issue is the gloss has several long checking finish-cracks on the top and sides, from what I can tell these are NOT in the wood, but only the surface gloss. Upgraded tuners at some point. Pick scratches, swirling, buckle rash, play wear - all for it's age.
We tend to collect Alvarez guitars and this one is quite amazing.
Hardcase is included.
