Up for sale is a one of a kind 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50’s Studio T Goldtop dark back. It’s very unique as this particular guitar has been given a special professional heavy aged relic that really gives the vibe of an original classic 50’s LP that has withstood the test of time and age.
The story of this LP goes back to when I purchased it. I‘ve always been a goldtop fan and really liked how these models aged over time. After it had acquired some normal wear I consulted a luthier to take it to the next level. They had done similar relic jobs in the past and had many examples to work with. It took some time but turned out great.
I will do my best to describe it in brief summary. There have been no repairs nor does it have any structural issues. It is rock solid all around. I’ve tried to capture the finish well in the photos. The frets are in excellent shape with no real visible wear. It has been professionally set up with low action. The top has subtle checking and small markings throughout. The back and sides have the majority of finish wear. The only other notable item is the pickups are a set of Suhr Aldrich and they sound amazing.
It comes with a bunch of the original hardware and other optional components that are all from Gibson. You can choose to have it crème or black with gold speed knobs or top hats.
The only reason I am selling is due to purchasing a Custom Shop LP. It simply won’t get played much anymore with all the other guitars around. I know someone out there is looking for something like this and would enjoy it very much.
You won’t find another one quite like this and you won’t have to spend a ton on something comparable from Custom shop and Murphy lab models.
