Offering a vintage 1960's Calrad Model 100C "Slim Line" Crystal microphone. These originally came out in 1959, first appearing in electronic component distributor catalogs like the Columbia Electronics Sale 1959 Fall Catalog where it was advertised as a "Slim Crystal Microphone". Based on the Shure Sim X777 model, production continued heavily throughout the 1960s under other names like Jax and Realistic. While originally intended for budget public address or home recording, these vintage high-impedance crystal microphones became highly favored by blues harmonica (harp) players looking to get a bright, classic sound out of their vintage tube amplifiers This mic is tested and working well with good output volume. (Check out the voice sample in the listing video.) It has very little signs of wear, the on-off button works well with the lock-on feature. A short 18" red cable is included wired to a 1/4" male phono plug.
