This receiver operates exclusively on Band C (638–662 MHz). To build a functioning wireless microphone setup, your corresponding transmitter (such as the Samson CH88 handheld mic or CB88 beltpack) must also be explicitly marked as Band C. It will not sync with transmitters on other frequency bands (such as Band D or K).

Because of this, only specific channels on this receiver can be operated legally within the US. Channels C, D, E, and F fall in legally operating frequencies (Duplex Gap) so this would only be an issue if running more than 4 units.
