There are subtle guitars. There are tasteful guitars. There are guitars that quietly sit in the corner waiting to be noticed.

This is not one of those guitars.

This Les Paul showed up wearing Translucent Oxblood over an AA figured maple top, weighing a substantial 9.5 pounds, and apparently expecting everyone else in the room to adjust accordingly.

And frankly... they should.

The finish is spectacular. Depending on the light, it moves from deep wine red to nearly black around the edges, while still allowing the figuring underneath to show through. It's classy, slightly sinister-looking, and about as understated as parking a Corvette in the living room.

Underneath all that attitude is exactly what you want from a proper Les Paul Standard 50s: a non-weight-relieved mahogany body, figured maple top, chunky mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and a pair of Alnico II Burstbuckers. Gibson pairs a Burstbucker 1 in the neck with a hotter Burstbucker 2 at the bridge, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. 

And this neck is no skinny little toothpick pretending it's 1959. The rounded 50s profile measures .909" at the 1st fret and 1.004" at the 12th. That's a Les Paul neck that actually showed up for work.

We just installed a fresh set of 10-46 strings, so she's ready to go.

Condition & What’s Included

She was born on October 19th, 2023 and has been played and shows honest cosmetic wear. There are various surface scratches, impressions and small marks on the body, some scratching/wear on the rear control cover, and finish chips/wear around the headstock/nut area.

There are also some visible marks/impressions on the back. Nothing we're seeing in the photos changes what this guitar fundamentally is: a killer-looking Oxblood Les Paul that has been enjoyed rather than stored under museum lighting.

It includes the original Gibson brown hardshell case with red plush interior, owner's manual, Gibson paperwork/pre-pack checklist, Gibson accessory bag, keys, multi-tool and the other items shown in the photos.

Return Policy- 

We do accept returns up to 14 days from the point of the initial sale, which means that the guitar must be back in our possession within this 14 day period. However, please be aware of the following conditions: If for any reason you wish to return the guitar, just call or email me directly, within 24 hours of your receiving the item, and let me know that you want to return it. Once we receive the guitar back, in the same condition, you will receive a refund, less a $50 restock fee. Also be aware that the initial shipping fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
