This is an early '69 Les Paul 'Fretless Wonder' Custom. The pot codes point to the second week of January. It's has no volute, no dotted 'i' in the logo, no made in USA stamp. This guitar is one of the finest you'll find out there. The paint is remarkable for a 50+ year old guitar, much better than most I've seen here on Reverb or at shows. There are minor wear scratches and a couple of nicks, the most prevalent is the tiny one on the back of the neck, and a small bit of checking starting under the pick guard but, for the most part, the body is in excellent shape. The bindings have got that sweet, aged yellow tint. The guitar has NEVER been in the shop. No electronic repairs, no body or neck repairs. The only thing on the guitar that is not original (other than the strings, of course) is the plastic switch cover. I've had this guitar since early 1990 from the original owner, bought with the case shown. The guitar is effortless to play and it still sounds amazing!
