Here is a pair of 14” Masterwork Jazz Master Hi Hats.
I purchased these in 2022, and used them enough for them to develop a light patina. The top cymbal has the most buildup with a fair share of stick marks. I did take the ink off as it was the newer ”Large M” logo. You can still see the ghost of it on the top cymbal. I did a more effective job on the bottom cymbal. The laser engraved stamp is still clearly visible on both cymbals. There isn’t any keyholing, or any discernible flea bites or imperfections.
Based on the lathing, hammering, and the crisp brightness, I’d say the Jazz Master series of cymbals is based off of the old K Istanbul New Stamp cymbals of the late 60s and 70s.
These particular Hi Hats embody that same vibe with their crispness and cutting presence.
Pick up the new version of an old-school vibe for a fraction of the cost.
I’ll post a video link soon.
