This example of an 80s Paiste Medium was heavily corroded and could be compared to a trash can lid.
The laquer finish is completely lost and what is left after a treatment with brasso and barkeepers soft cleaner is unknown to me and does not seem to be bothered by conventional cleaning methods.
The cymbal has come back to life so to speak, and is now able to some what provide a shimmer when struck, but what remains of the tarnish seems to have keep its tone dry by comparison to a new 2002.
Minor flea bites as I tried to capture them in the last picture but they are almost too small to see but you can feel.
no other structural issues I have put about 8 hours playing on this cymbal.
Weighs approx 1747 grams.
