Very clean StewMac 5E3 Tweed Deluxe clone. Works and sounds great with the classic 5E3 breakup and response.
There is a mechanical ringing/buzz, more noticeable with bassier notes and at volumes at and above 3 or 4, depending on input 1 or 2. You can easily play over it, but will notice it on a heavy held barre chord. I swapped the preamp tubes and performed the usual tapping/testing but could not isolate the source. It may be mechanical resonance or possibly related to the 6V6s. A few minimal surface scratches on the chassis face that won’t show up in photos.
Tubes - V1 and V2 are both 12AX7, 6V6S power tubes and 5Y3S rectifier. All JJ’s.
