AML ez1073-500. A 2 Slot 500 Series preamp, line amp & EQ. In very good condition and fully functional. A well regarded if not quite legendary 1073 clone that hasn't been in production for at least a year now. Purchased new from Vintage King in 2021. There are a couple of scratches on the faceplate including one long one between the screw holes at the bottom of the faceplate. It's visible on the photo I took with a flash but in all honestly I'd never even noticed it. When I unracked the unit and shook it I also noticed a bit of side to side play. I spoke to Colin at AML about this and he assured me I didn't need to open it up. Quoting him, "They did make a noise when you shook them because of the way the lid was fastened in place." While the scratches and bit of play are no big deal, I am going to knock the price down $50 from what I was planning on selling it at. It should go without saying but I'm going to mention it anyway: this is outstanding value and I could probably sell it for quite a bit more. I've recorded acoustic and electric guitars as well as some vocals with it, and the EQ is put to use mixing. I now have a BAE 1073 and no longer need it. Have I compared them? Yes. The BAE is a bit more refined and a bit more vintage sounding. That said, it would be an understatement to say they are in the same ballpark. The unit has no more than a couple hundred hours on it in a private, smoke free studio. I'll ship via Fedex or UPS with signature required for ease of transaction. Thank you.
