This one's a red label 16" crash, serial 594323 stamped into the bell. I'm not going to stand here and tell you exactly what year it left Switzerland. What I can tell you is it's been around a while, and it's earned the patina to prove it.

The sound is exactly what the 2002 promised from day one: fast, bright, explosive, gone. It opens up instantly and gets out of the way, which is the entire job description of a 16" crash and one that modern cymbals keep forgetting. This is the alloy that cut through two stacks before anyone had heard of in-ear monitors.

Condition: player's shape. Patina throughout, some stick marks, fingerprints from years of being picked up and put on stands. No cracks, no keyholing, no bite marks on the edge. This spent its life being a cymbal instead of a wall ornament, and it's got plenty left.
