CROWN AUDIO DCi 8|300 DRIVECORE INSTALL EIGHT CHANNEL AMPLIFIER

Eight channels of 300 watt amplification in a 2U chassis, from the line Crown built specifically for permanent installs. This is the one that goes in the rack at a restaurant, a church, a school, a retail chain or a conference center and runs for years without anyone touching it.

The real flexibility here is the load handling. Every channel independently switches between low impedance and 70V or 100V constant voltage from rear panel DIP switches, so you can run distributed ceiling speakers on some channels and standard 4 or 8 ohm cabinets on others out of the same box. Channels also bridge in pairs when you need more muscle on a subwoofer or a long 140V or 200V line. That mix-and-match capability is what makes an eight channel install amp worth racking instead of stacking four two channel units.

Eight balanced analog inputs feed the amplifier directly. The front panel gives you per channel indicators and independent attenuators so you can trim each zone right at the rack, and sleep mode drops idle power draw between uses.

Under the hood it runs Crown's DriveCore technology, a Class D topology that integrates the amplifier driver stage directly into the output stage. That is how eight channels of real power fit in two rack spaces and stay cool doing it. Universal power supply handles 100 to 240 volt mains.
