Fairfield Circuitry The Accountant compressor in excellent condition and fully functional.
The Accountant is a compact analog compressor with a ton of character packed into a very small enclosure. Rather than being a super-clean studio-style compressor, it has a slightly gritty, lively feel that works especially well for indie, shoegaze, post-punk, ambient, and anything where you want compression without making the guitar feel flat or sterile.
The two toggle switches let you adjust ratio and pad, while the single volume control keeps operation simple. Depending on the settings, it can do subtle leveling, added sustain, squishier compression, or push the front end of another pedal or amp.
It also works great early in a signal chain for evening out dynamics before drives, fuzzes, modulation, and ambient effects.
