Hard to find, ultra WARM, huge Istanbul 16” Traditional Hihats in fantastic condition.

Much smoother, warmer, lower-pitched and more mellow than the Zildjian K Lights. For a or less money too.

Weighing in at a perfect 1412 grams for the Top Cymbal, and 1582 grams for the Bottom Cymbal, these 16’s play like massive Medium Thin to Medium Hihats.

Of course these Massive Medium Traditional Hats possess all of the classic WARM, semi-complex tone you would expect from Istanbul Mehemt’s Top of the Line Hand Hammered Series. These specific 16”s are well balanced. Being the larger 16”s, they excel at laying down BIG grooves and project well WITHOUT being heavy handed or overbearing.

And they’re wonderfully LOWER PITCHED and have a terrific DARKNESS and sibilance that is NOT overly trashy and complex. They’re smooth.

Tight and crisp when closed. Washy and Ringo-sloshy when opened. Great for very low to loud volumes.  Amazing under the mic.
Open them up fully and you use them to crash or even light ride on.

You hardly ever see these beautiful 16s Traditionals. Especially not where you can hear them first.
