1980s Sonor Phonic Plus D 518x MR in Red Mahogany - 8x14
Absolute cannon of a snare drum! 9-ply Beechwood shell with 10x phonic lugs. '602' stamped on the interior. Badge is stamped with Serial # 74761. Features Sonor's "Throw-off II" with wires that extend beyond the shell and an adjustable butt end, allowing for tensioning of the wires from both sides. Phonic lugs are in good condition, showing some light wear. Though this drum was catalogued with Ferromanganese hoops, this one is equipped with era-correct Sonor die cast hoops. It's possible this was a special order feature or the hoops were changed later on. Hoops are quite clean with just a few small blemishes. 20x slotted 'Tune-Loc' tension rods.
