Fender 6G11 Vibrolux 1963 Brownface Guitar Combo Amplifier
Rare and seldom-seen Brownface Vibrolux from 1963. This amp has THE pinnacle brownface sound. Think of this as a Brown Deluxe on 6L6’s. It sits at a great form factor for the volume it pushes out— right around 35 watts.
This is a great example and one I’ve owned for years— it was my amp tech’s personal Vibrolux, he had two and sold both— this was the more original example.
All original transformers, no monkey business. The only non-original points to mention are a replaced leather handle, replaced grill cloth (hand aged to look the part of an old wheat grill), and the non-original but amazing Celestion Alnico Gold Speaker.
This amp functions perfectly and has a great raw woody tone when cranked. The reproduction footswitch is very nicely done and made by Sheenan Enterprises, he’s the leader in vintage reproduction parts.
