Designed and built in Germany, the Alpha is AER's compact professional acoustic amplifier, combining 40 watts of clean power with an 8-inch twin-cone full-range speaker in an extremely portable birch-plywood cabinet. AER designed the Alpha for accurate, natural reproduction of acoustic instruments and vocals rather than coloring the instrument like a traditional electric-guitar amplifier.

About the AER Alpha

Despite its small footprint, the Alpha provides two independently adjustable input stages, allowing it to handle an acoustic instrument and microphone or two instrument sources.

Input 1 features an XLR/¼" combination connection capable of accepting microphone or line-level signals, including 48V phantom power for compatible condenser microphones.

Input 2 provides a high-impedance ¼" instrument input along with AER's Colour control, which reshapes the upper-mid and treble response for a more open acoustic sound.

Both inputs feed a shared 3-band EQ and digital reverb, making the Alpha an exceptionally capable standalone amplifier for acoustic guitarists and singer/songwriters.

Condition

This amplifier has seen extremely little use and remains exceptionally clean. The cabinet, grille, controls and rear panel all present beautifully. It has been carefully kept and functions as intended.

The original AER padded carrying bag and owner's manual are included, making this an unusually complete example.
