Only kept in a temperature controlled non-smoker studio, leather is perfect all over. I did some micro shots to show some micro-dents that are invisible to the naked eye in normal day light, but for transparency - you can see all of them.
The hard case that it comes with is wonderful and keeps them safe if you need to travel with them. They are wonderful for recording on location as well and isolate wonderfully.
