The Blackface Deluxe Reverb is held in legendary regard—especially in Nashville. It offers the perfect format for gigging, with an ideal balance of tone, size, and volume. This particular amp is in very good shape, with light signs of previous wear and some small blemishes on the front grillcloth. The reverb cables have also been replaced, along with the original speaker, which has been swapped for a 1956 Jensen C12Q.Internally, the power cord and electrolytic caps have been replaced, along with the screen grid resistors. On the preamp side, two coupling caps and two pots have been changed. Otherwise, the amp remains largely original, including the Allen-Bradley resistors and the coveted Blue Molded Ajax coupling caps. See circuit photos for further details.
